Fostering Language and Connections With Your Child
Caregiver & Child 4-Week Series
When: Fridays
Time: 10-11am
Where: In-Person/Outdoors weather permitting *joining remotely is an option as well, inquire for more details
Dates: 9/30, 10/7, 10/14 and 10/28 (*no group on 10/21)
Cost: $260 per family
Sue Savarese, MS, CCC-SLP and Lizz Ramirez, RDI Consultant have come together to lead a 4-week caregiver and child series that invites participants to learn, play and appreciate the value in everyday moments. This program is designed for children of all levels of communication and their caregivers. During this mini series, participants will take part in various activities (e.g. music, books, movement) with the goal of :
● fostering a positive relationship with your child
● identifying your child’s strengths while better understanding how your child learns
● equipping you with strategies that can be incorporated into daily life to strengthen connections and foster communication
● identifying competent roles within activities and/or routines
● creating opportunities to increase your child’s independence
● exploring Declarative Language and how to thoughtfully use this communication style with your child
● recognizing the importance of humor, music and play in your child’s cognitive, language and social development
● learning the value of reflection during moments that “didn’t go according to plan”
